Alberto Portilla is Ph.D. student (double program) at the National Polytechnical Institute of Grenoble-France (Laboratory LSR-IMAG) and the Universidad de las Américas-México (CENTIA), working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Collet, Dr. Vargas-Solar, Dr. Zechinelli-Martini and Dr. García-Bañuelos.  From 1999 to 2002, he worked  at Kranon Inc. as engineering manager. In July 1999 he obtained his Masters Degree on Computer Science at the Universidad de las Américas, under the direction of Dr. Ahuactzin. In 1995 he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala.

His studies are supported by the program to improve the teaching system of the public universities of México (PROMEP-SEP) and the Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala (FCBIyT)  where he is full time lecturer.
His research is related to non functional behavior of information systems.
